MKM Stamps4Clay

The purpose of this page is to show you what a few sample MKM Stamps4Clay stamps actually look like.   The basic facts of each stamp are listed directly below.  One thing to remember is that the black lines of the design drawings (for instance, the line drawings at the top of this page) represent lines that are carved into the wood, and, hence, raised lines in the clay when the stamp is used.

All of the stamps have certain common characteristics:  they are all made of beech wood;  they are all 7 cm long, and each has a different design at each end.

Making these stamps at an affordable price is hard, and MKM hopes that you can contribute to their ongoing quality by passing along your comments and thoughts, and perhaps a design suggestion or comment (this design would be better if...).  Please see the "Contact MKM" page.

This is a medium size triangle stamp.  Each side measures 3.0 cm long, and the stamp is 7 cm long.  I have written comments on the stamps for personal reference.

Stamps used to form larger patterns can be effective.  These samples are from trays by Rick McKinney, and have been colorized in Adobe Photoshop for effect.

The stamps are dimensional in the sense that the larger stamps are unit multiples of the smaller size stamps, and the longer sides are double the length of the shorter sides, etc.

In this way all the stamps can be used together to create larger more complex patterns.

Most of my own patterns use several stamps to ccover larger areas of the clay.
